Prime Video’s hit series “Maxton Hall” returns on November 7 with Season 2, continuing Mona Kasten’s love story of Ruby and James from the bestselling novels.

Streaming platform Prime Video has officially announced the premiere date for the second season of “Maxton Hall”, one of Europe’s most successful series in recent years. The continuation of the adaptation of Mona Kasten’s bestselling novels will be available to stream starting November 7, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to Deadline.

The story once again centers around the students of the elite private school Maxton Hall, where ambition, privilege, and personal feelings intertwine in a contemporary drama about love, identity, and class divides. Like the first season, the second chapter will include six episodes: the first three will premiere simultaneously, while the remaining ones will be released every Wednesday through November 28.

The new episodes follow the evolving relationship between Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James (Damian Hardung) — two students from entirely different worlds, whose unexpected romance is tested by family secrets and social barriers. After a passionate night in Oxford, Ruby’s life seems nearly perfect — her academic dream is within reach, and her feelings for James are stronger than ever. Yet, a sudden tragedy in his family shatters that fragile harmony.

The guiding theme of the season, “Those who rise the highest fall the hardest,” sets the emotional tone for what follows. Ruby tries to return to her old life, far from Maxton Hall and the memories tied to it. However, forgetting James turns out to be impossible — especially when he is determined to win back her trust and love.

The cast for Season 2 includes, alongside Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung, Sonja Weißer (Lydia), Ben Felipe (Cyril), Fedja van Huêt (Mortimer), Runa Greiner (Amber), Justus Riesner (Alistair), Andrea Guo (Lin), Frédéric Balonier (Kieran), and Eli Riccardi (Elaine).

The new season was directed by Martin Schreier, with Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim serving as executive producers. Yildirim also took on the role of head writer, collaborating with Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior on the screenplay.

“Maxton Hall” is based on Mona Kasten’s popular Save Me book trilogy. The first season adapted “Save Me”, while the second is drawn from its sequel “Save You.” A third season, based on the concluding novel “Save Us,” has already been confirmed — completing Ruby and James’s story as a fully realized screen adaptation of the literary series.
