Three weeks after a severe stage accident at the Miss Universe pageant in Bangkok, Gabrielle Henry, Miss Jamaica 2025, is fighting for her life, reports Baltimore Chronicle.

During the semi-finals on November 19, the 28-year-old ophthalmologist fell from the stage, sustaining multiple injuries including a brain haemorrhage. Henry lost consciousness and suffered fractures, facial injuries, and other serious trauma, according to the MUO and her family.

Immediately after the accident, Henry was admitted to the intensive care unit in Bangkok. She remains in critical condition, under constant neurological monitoring, and requires 24-hour care.

The Miss Universe Organization has covered all costs related to Henry’s treatment and accommodation in Bangkok. Upon her return to Jamaica, she will be accompanied by a team of doctors and taken directly to a hospital. The MUO has also pledged to cover any further medical care she may require.
