Dnepr-1and LNZ ended in a draw in the opening match of the 21st round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) ). The match at the Kolos stadium in Kovalevka ended with the score 1:1.
The first half of the match passed without any goals scored. At the start of the second half of the game, the Dnieper team took the lead – Alexander Filippov scored in the 47th minute.
However, ten minutes later the Cherkassy club fought back with the efforts of Haidina Salihu.
Before the final whistle, both teams had chances to snatch victory, but they did not capitalize on them. As a result, it’s a draw.

After this match, Dnepr-1 (39 points) remained in third place in the UPL standings. Shakhtar is in the lead with 40 points, having played three games less than Dnipro.
Note that Yuri Maksimov’s team won only one of four matches in 2024.
In their own turn, LNZ (25 points) is in eighth position in the Ukrainian championship.
In the next round of the domestic championship, Dnepr-1 will meet with Kolos on March 31, and LNZ will play with Rukh on April 1.
