Spanish midfielder of Inter Miami, Sergio Busquets, who spent most of his career at Barcelona, announced he will retire from professional football after the MLS season, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
“From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all and football for everything. You will always be part of this wonderful story,” the Spaniard wrote on his Instagram.
Throughout his career, Busquets played 829 matches at club level across all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 62 assists. His achievements include three UEFA Champions League titles, nine La Liga championships, a World Cup and a European Championship, as well as seven Spanish Cups and Super Cups.
