Russian occupiers launched a massive drone strike on the outskirts of Odessa last night. Footage has emerged of the aftermath of the enemy attack, which resulted in major fires breaking out at civilian infrastructure facilities.

RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the Odessa City Council.

“The enemy attacked the suburbs of Odessa. Civilian infrastructure, commercial facilities are on fire, cars are damaged,” the city council quotes Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov as saying.

It is also noted that there are victims as a result of the Russian strikes who are receiving medical assistance.

The Odessa mayor has published a video of the aftermath of a drone attack online. The footage shows, in particular, burning and completely destroyed buildings, civilian objects that have turned into ruins and are still burning, as well as firefighters with special equipment and rescuers.

Updated: The State Emergency Service clarified the consequences and showed more footage

Later, the State Emergency Service reported that due to the Russian attack on the Odessa region, “large-scale fires broke out, a shopping center and stores burned, and a multi-story building was damaged.”

The State Emergency Service also reported that, according to preliminary data, three teenagers were injured.

“More than 70 rescuers took part in the liquidation of the consequences, 22 units of fire-fighting equipment, as well as 5 volunteers and 1 unit of equipment were involved,” the Service said.

Massive air attack on Odessa and the region

As reported earlier, on the evening of March 20, Russian terrorists launched a massive attack on Odessa and the region using attack drones. The enemy strikes caused power outages in the city and fires broke out.

Later, the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported that three people were injured in the Russian drone attack, including an underage girl.

Civilian infrastructure in the city was damaged , including a residential high-rise building, a shopping mall and shops, and powerful fires broke out in three locations.

In addition, local emergency power outages were introduced in Odessa in the Primorsky, Peresypsky and Kievsky districts of the city.
