The review page for the work of banks on the Ministry of Finance website is used not only by clients of financial institutions, but also by their employees. In particular, such a review was left by former employee of the state-owned Privatbank Tatyana on May 10, 2024.
Why does the level of service in Privat suffer? : ex-employee's explanation
She said that the Kiev office of Privatbank has set excessive production standards and there are problems with a shortage of specialists. And the level of payment, in her words, “does not at all correspond to the volume of work and the number of areas for which the employee is responsible.” She also writes that for a whole year there were no additional payments, no days off for holidays, and the 13th salary has not yet been paid. She linked all this to the quality of customer service, which is important to consumers.
“As a result, this all affects customer service, and people need to understand that if they don’t like it when few employees work, or don’t help with a terminal or other problem, then it’s not because all the employees and the manager in the department are so bad and are not competent. And because the management from the office has set very high standards that need to be met, and for which (whether you fulfill them or not) there will always be complaints against you,” Tatyana explained the problem.
How Privat comments on the situation< /h3>
Privatbank itself also commented on this situation. The organization emphasized that the provision of days off for holidays is not provided for by the legislation in force during the period of martial law in Ukraine. And working conditions in the state bank are considered competitive.
“We offer: work in the largest and most innovative bank in Ukraine, official employment and 24 calendar days of vacation, competitive wages,” says Privatbank’s response.
As the Ministry of Finance previously wrote, this state bank has the largest staff of employees in the entire banking system of Ukraine. Although, based on the results of 2023, the total number of Privatbank personnel decreased from 18.7 thousand to 18.3 thousand simultaneously with the reduction of the branch network from 1210 to 1132 points.
Second in the state after Privat is the state-owned Oschadbank, where by the beginning of 2024 16.4 thousand people worked and 1182 branches operated.
