In the process of derussification and for the purpose, 29 objects were renamed and named.

This was reported by the press service of the Kiev City Council.

In Kiev, the following objects were renamed and given new names:

Pechersky district:< /p>

• Saltykov-Shchedrin Street – Sergei Mironov Street;
• the square between Mikhail Emelyanovich-Pavlenko Street and Ippodromny Lane was named after Dmitry Da Vinci” Kotsyubailo;
• the square between Bastionnaya and Mikhail Boychuk streets was named after Nikolai Mozgovoy.

Shevchenkovsky district:

• Tropinina Lane – Anatoly Kudritsky Lane;
• Otto Schmidt Street – Prince Vladimir Monomakh Street;
• Academician Tupolev Street – Dream Street;
• part of Orangereinaya Street (from Yuri Ilyenko Street to Dorogozhitskaya Street) – Street of the Righteous.

Svyatoshinsky district:

Dneprovsky district:

• Bazhova street – Sergei street Naboki;
• Plekhanov Street – Boris Martos Street;
• Kombinatnaya Street – Denis Rachinsky Street;

Ermak Street – Mikhail Goryn Street.

• Previously, the Kiev Council renamed another toponym in the Desnyansky district of the capital – Vatutinsky Lane to Zazimsky Lane.
• In July, 14 city objects whose names are associated with Russia and its satellites were renamed in the capital.
• On June 20, the Kiev City Council de-Russified two more streets of the capital. Thus, Dragomirova Street in the Pechersky district is now named after Andrey Verkhosmotr, lieutenant colonel of the 72nd brigade of Black Cossacks, People's Hero of Ukraine. Also, in honor of the heroic unit “Carpathian Sich”, Gvardeyska Street in the Goloseevsky district was renamed.
