- Previously, the Kiev Council renamed another toponym in the Desnyansky district of the capital – Vatutinsky Lane to Zazimsky Lane.
- In July, 14 city objects whose names are associated with Russia and its satellites were renamed in the capital.
- On June 20, the Kiev City Council de-Russified two more streets of the capital. Thus, Dragomirova Street in the Pechersky district is now named after Andrey Verkhosmotr, lieutenant colonel of the 72nd brigade of Black Cossacks, People's Hero of Ukraine. Also, in honor of the heroic unit “Carpathian Sich”, Gvardeyska Street in the Goloseevsky district was renamed.
