The OPU spoke about the timing of the EU decision on the issue of 50 billion euros for Ukraine

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva commented on the issue of providing financial assistance to Ukraine from the European Union. The official said when Kiev expects to hear the EU's decision on the transfer of funds needed by the country.

The Deputy Head of Zelensky's Office, in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, expressed confidence that the leaders of the European Union member states will make a decision at the beginning of 2024 NBN reports on the allocation of financial assistance to Ukraine.

According to a representative of the OPU, there has already been a political decision to provide funds to Kiev, the amount has been determined – 50 billion euros, however, “there are nuances in the technology.” Zhovkva believes that EU leaders postponed the relevant decision to an informal meeting of the European Council on February 1, since they were unable to write out the tools.

Deputy Ermak explained that the European Union has several scenarios for allocating finances to Ukraine. The first way is changes in the organization’s budget, the second is bilateral agreements on a donor platform, where the European Commission works together with Ukrainian officials.

Earlier, NSDC Secretary Alexey Danilov spoke about the United States’ support for our country. The official said when Kyiv expects to receive a decision from Congress regarding the continuation of assistance to Ukraine.
