In an interview with the publication “RBK-Ukraine”, the city mayor said that Kharkov needs a modern air defense system to protect itself from attacks by a terrorist state, “NBN” reports.
According to the official, after the Ukrainian Armed Forces were given limited permission to use Western weapons to strike at occupiers' targets on Russian territory, things became “a little quieter” in the regional center. The defense forces destroyed the S-300/S-400 air defense systems from which the invaders were shelling the city.
Terekhov clarified that Putin's army has now begun to attack Kharkov mainly with FABs and KABs, so it is necessary to find a solution to protect against such shelling. The mayor said that the regional center needs the most modern air defense system, since one or two Patriot systems will not solve all the problems.
In an interview, the city head also answered what will happen with heating and water supply in Kharkov during the cold season.
