American pop star Britney Spears has deleted her Instagram account following a series of concerning posts and a public dispute over her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s memoir. On Sunday, November 2, Spears’ page became unavailable, displaying a message that her “profile may have been removed,” reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to People.
In recent weeks, fans of the 43-year-old singer expressed concern after she shared videos of herself dancing in her living room. Attention was drawn to the fact that Spears disabled comments on posts that included cryptic captions related to her children, 19-year-old Jayden James and 20-year-old Sean Preston.
On October 7, Spears posted a video showing bruises on her arms and bandages on her wrists. In the caption, she explained that she had fallen down the stairs and also mentioned that her sons had returned to Hawaii, where they live with 47-year-old Federline. “My boys had to leave and go back to Maui. This is my way to express myself and pray through art… Father who art in heaven… I’m not here for concern or pity, I just want to be a good woman and be better… And I do have wonderful support, so have a brilliant day!” Spears wrote.
She added, “Psss I fell down the stairs at my friend’s house… It was horrible. It snaps out now and then, not sure if it’s broken but for now it’s snapped in!!! Thank you, God.”
On October 19, Spears returned to Instagram, sharing a photo of herself riding a horse and reflecting on her four-month stay in rehab in 2018 under her 13-year conservatorship. She revealed that she had experienced “brain damage” during that time. Spears compared her shoulder blades to “wings” and referenced the film Maleficent, noting that “her wings were holy and no one could take them, because anything from the Father in heaven remains sacred.”
The singer also mentioned a “traumatic experience” she described at the end of her memoir The Woman in Me, stating that for four months she was denied personal privacy and the ability to move freely.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Kevin Federline, in his book You Thought You Knew, made several claims about their marriage and their relationship with their children. Excerpts published by The New York Times, USA Today, and E! Online include allegations of infidelity, parenting disputes, and fears that “something bad” might happen to Spears.
On October 15, Spears took to X to accuse Federline of “constant gaslighting” and defended her bond with their sons. “To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one while others profit from my pain… Oh dear Jesus, show me there is a God and I can be loved unconditionally and not have to be so perfect,” she wrote.
