Bob Arum, the promoter of IBF world lightweight champion Vasiliy Lomachenko, assessed the future prospects of his client after a bright victory over Australian George Kambosos.
According to him, the Ukrainian can hold his next fight in November of this year. Lomachenko's potential opponents are Americans – WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson and WBA title holder in this division Gervonta Davis.
“Lomachenko will probably return in November against Shakur Stevenson. We'll see. Can Lomachenko try get fights with Stevenson and Gervonta Davis? Yes. Why not? But let's enjoy the moment and then decide on the next step tomorrow,” Arum said in a comment to FightHype.com.
Note that one of the four main lightweight championship belts (WBO) remains vacant. Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk and Mexican Emmanuel Navarrete will fight for him on May 18.
