Ali Mohammad Naini, IRGC spokesperson, killed in airstrike in Iran. Israel confirms operation as tensions rise after deaths of senior Iranian leaders.

Ali Mohammad Naini, the official spokesperson of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), was killed in an airstrike, reports Baltimore Chronicle via Tasnim. Naini had served as the press secretary of the IRGC since 2024 and was regarded as a key public voice for the organization.

IRGC representatives strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a “cowardly act of state terrorism” and vowed to retaliate for the killing of their spokesperson.

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed responsibility for the operation, identifying Naini as the “chief propagandist” of the IRGC. Israeli authorities framed the strike as part of broader military actions targeting high-ranking figures in Iran’s military and political leadership.

During the ongoing conflict involving Iran, U.S. and Israeli forces have killed several senior figures of the Islamic Republic, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani. This latest strike adds to the list of high-profile casualties in the region and underscores heightened military tensions between Israel and Iran.
