Dyson CameraJet toothbrush is Dyson’s first move into oral care, and it looks nothing like a conventional electric brush. The $499.99 device uses a miniature camera, AI-assisted gap detection and targeted mouthrinse jets. US buyers can already pre-order it before the September 8 release, as noted by the Baltimore Chronicle newsroom.
How the Dyson CameraJet camera works
The Dyson CameraJet toothbrush has a 100,000-pixel intraoral macro camera. It analyzes 28 images every second while the user brushes.
Dyson calls the system Gap Optical Targeting. Machine learning identifies spaces between teeth and activates a targeted jet of mouthrinse. According to Dyson, detection and jetting happen in real time.
The main features include:

- AI-assisted interdental gap detection;
- automatic precision-flossing jet;
- live cleaning view through the MyDyson app;
- 12.5 ml mouthrinse reservoir;
- 3 brushing intensity levels.
The camera is also used for guided brushing. Dyson says images viewed through its app are not stored or shared.
