The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has granted UPG, the operator of a gas station network, permission to lease 46 more gas stations (GS) owned by companies in the “Privat” group, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing the press service of the AMCU. According to the decision, “Ukrpaletssystem” will be allowed to lease gas stations owned by companies such as “Albilend”, “Angel Capital”, “Jasmi-Trade”, “Image Evolution”, “Corso Town”, “Leader Finance”, “NaftoPrime”, “Newport Holding”, “Perspective Pro”, “Start Business-Plus”, and “Vertix-Mall”. The ultimate beneficiary of these companies, except for “Vertix-Mall”, is Yuriy Kiperman.
This decision follows a previous ruling in July, when AMCU granted permission to lease 34 and 47 gas stations. As a result, “Ukrpaletssystem” will now be able to lease a total of 126 gas stations from the “Privat” group. According to sources, UPG may eventually take control of no less than 400 gas stations from this group.
