The Ministry of Defense has already prepared a new bill on strengthening mobilization in Ukraine; in the near future it will be submitted for consideration by the government. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on his Facebook page.

“Our team has already prepared a new version of the bill, taking into account all the proposals agreed upon in working order with deputies at meetings of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. We are ready to submit it for approval by the government in the near future,” Umerov noted.
He recalled that the previous version of the bill was recalled by the Cabinet of Ministers from the Verkhovna Rada. According to the minister, the working group has been working on it for the last six months.
“This law is needed by the defense of our state and by every warrior who is now at the front. Needed as quickly as possible. We worked on the mobilization bill for six months in a working group – representatives of all parliamentary factions without exception, the team of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and a number of other ministries and departments,” Umerov added.
He also called for the adoption of the new version of the bill as soon as possible rather.

The “Ministry of Finance” wrote that on January 11, the Verkhovna Rada refused to consider government bill No. 10378 on changing the rules of mobilization, military registration and service. The Cabinet of Ministers recalled it for revision.
Previously, President Vladimir Zelensky said that the Commander-in-Chief and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine propose to additionally mobilize 450-500 thousand people.
