On the night of January 20, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with seven Shahed-type attack UAVs -136/131. The drones were launched from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region – Russian Federation, and there was also an attack by three S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the TOT Luhansk region in the Donbass.
The Air Force reported that mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 4 enemy UAVs, the remaining three did not reach their targets.
Air defense worked within the Odessa, Nikolaev, Cherkasy and Khmelnytsky regions.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that 103 military clashes occurred during the day.
In total, the enemy carried out 1 missile and 23 air strikes, carried out 59 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Russian terrorist attacks have unfortunately resulted in civilian deaths and injuries. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
In the Kupyansky direction, our defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Petropavlovka, Tabaevka and Berestovo, Kharkov region.
In Limansky direction – 10 attacks near Ternov, Yampolevka, Verkhnekamensky, Donetsk region and another 15 attacks in the areas of Serebryansky forestry, Belogorivka, Lugansk region.
In the Avdeevka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who is not abandoning attempts to encircle Avdeevka. Our soldiers steadfastly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Over the past 24 hours, defense forces have repelled 14 attacks by invaders in the Avdeevka area and another 19 attacks south of Tonenkoye, Pervomaisky and Nevelskoye.
