Ex-Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Naev stated that he learned about his dismissal from his position from the media.< /p>
He wrote about this in his telegram.
“From the media I learned about his dismissal from the post of commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which he held since 2020. These were difficult times. One of the most difficult periods in the history of Ukraine. And together with you, we walked this path with dignity,” he said.
Naev thanked for the work and expressed confidence that Ukraine will win the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“But the work is not finished, the war continues! The enemy must be destroyed, our lands deoccupied, and evil punished! I am sure we can do this! Ukrainians know how to work miracles, so I believe in each of you! I dream of our Victory and I know that this day will come,” he wrote.
- Today, by decree, the head of state dismissed Sergei Naev from the post of Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Yuri Sodol was appointed to this post.
- Zelensky also appointed a new commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. He became Major General Alexander Pavlyuk. The President also promulgated decrees on the appointment of new heads of the Joint Forces and Air Assault Forces.
- In addition, the President replaced the commander of the Airborne Forces -assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This position was held by Maxim Mirgorodsky. The new commander was Igor Skibyuk.
- A new commander of the Territorial Defense Forces was also appointed. The post was given to Igor Plakhuta.
