Iran has displayed an image of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on one of its missiles, accompanied by a message of gratitude for opposing the war, reports Baltimore Chronicle via Tasnim. The missile bears a bilingual inscription in English and Farsi reading, “Of course, this war is not only illegal but also inhumane. Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister.” The display comes amid escalating tensions over military actions and diplomatic disagreements involving Iran, the United States, and European nations.

In additional images circulated by Tasnim on its Telegram channel, a missile shows a photograph of a protest in London following an attack on a girls’ school in Iran. The inscription on that missile reads, “Thank you to those in London who expressed compassion for the consequences of Trump’s war crimes.” The Telegram post emphasizes that these missiles “will soon be launched on occupied territories,” highlighting the political message behind the imagery.

Earlier in March, Spain refused to allow the United States to use its military bases for strikes against Iran. In response, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to sever trade relations with Spain. Following this, Prime Minister Sánchez delivered a public statement affirming that Spain would not participate in actions harmful to global peace out of fear of retaliation, reinforcing his stance against military aggression.

Tasnim’s publication of these missile images signals Iran’s use of symbolic messaging in response to international criticism and the refusal of allied nations to participate in military operations, reflecting broader geopolitical tensions in the region.
