Cameron’s Haven Baltimore is a new project created by mother Adrianne Blake after the death of her 3-year-old son. The organization aims to support foster youth and families affected by trauma and instability, as noted by Baltimore Chronicle. The story was first reported by WMAR-2 News. Details about the project are available through the official Cameron’s Haven website.

Cameron’s Haven Was Inspired by the Death of 3-Year-Old Cameron

Cameron Anthony Blake died in January 2017 after being found unresponsive in an Essex apartment. Medical staff reported injuries consistent with child abuse.

His mother spent years searching for a way to preserve his legacy.

“Cameron deserved a future,” Blake told WMAR-2 News. She wants other families to have opportunities her son never received.

Both Blake and Cameron’s father experienced foster care themselves. That history helped shape her plans for foster youth support in Baltimore.

How Cameron’s Haven Plans to Help Baltimore Families

The organization describes its mission as breaking cycles of instability through safe housing and trauma-informed support.

Its planned services focus on several areas:

  • structured and stable housing;
  • trauma-informed assistance;
  • practical life skills;
  • community support;
  • long-term family stability.

The project remains in its organizational development stage. Housing placements and direct services are not yet available.

The model is intended to provide more than emergency assistance. Blake wants families to have a support network during recovery.

Baltimore family crisis support remains central to that approach.

Cameron’s Haven Launch Is Planned for January 2027

Blake plans a public launch on January 24, 2027. The date marks 10 years since Cameron’s death.

The project is also raising startup funds through GoFundMe. The campaign lists legal, administrative, outreach and organizational costs among its planned uses.

Cameron’s Haven says its long-term goal is clear. It wants families affected by foster care and trauma to move from crisis toward lasting stability.
