Sabrina Carpenter has secured a 5-year restraining order against a man accused of repeatedly approaching her Los Angeles home. The ruling followed an alleged attempt to force open her front door, according to the Baltimore Chronicle.

What The Sabrina Carpenter Restraining Order Requires

A Los Angeles judge issued the order against William Applegate, 31, following a hearing on June 17.

The protection also covers Carpenter’s sister, Sarah Carpenter, and Sarah’s partner, George Smith. Both reportedly live with the singer.

The court imposed several restrictions:

  • Applegate cannot contact the 3 protected people.
  • He must remain at least 100 yards away.
  • The restriction covers their homes, workplaces, vehicles and personal space.
  • The order remains effective until June 17, 2031.
  • He is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Breaking the order could lead to a fine, imprisonment or both. The restrictions create legal protection around Carpenter’s family and daily movements.
