Kyiv futsal clubs Aurora and SkyUp Futsal have merged into one team that will compete under the joint name Aurora-SkyUp Futsal starting from the 2025/2026 season. This applies to both the Ukrainian Extra League and the Champions League, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to the official statements on the clubs’ social media pages.
According to the joint announcement, the management of both teams reached an agreement to unite their efforts for the further development of Ukrainian futsal. Representatives emphasized that the merger aims to enhance the sports potential of the new squad and ensure consistent progress.
In the previous Extra League season, both clubs ranked among the top three. Aurora finished as runners-up after losing the final series to HIT, while SkyUp Futsal secured third place by defeating Khmelnytskyi’s Sokil in the bronze medal match.
