Former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev reacted to a statement by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who recently announced the deployment of an American nuclear submarine near Russian shores, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to X.
During a meeting with U.S. military leadership, Trump stated that the submarine was sent as a response to a “threat from Russia,” emphasizing that it is “well hidden” and “impossible to detect.”
In his post, Dmitry Medvedev responded sarcastically to Trump’s words, writing: “A new episode of the thriller ‘Nuclear Submarines for Posts on X.’ Trump mentioned once again the submarines he supposedly ‘sent to Russian shores,’ insisting that they are ‘very well hidden.’ As the saying goes, it is hard to find a black cat in a dark room, especially if it isn’t there.”
This verbal exchange comes amid increasing tensions and escalating rhetoric between the two politicians.
