Dmitry Medvedev warned NATO that shooting down Russian drones over Ukraine would mean war, calling the idea of a no-fly zone a “provocation.”

Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev issued new threats against NATO, warning that any attempt by Alliance members to shoot down Russian drones over Ukraine would lead to direct military confrontation with Moscow, reports Baltimore Chronicle citing his statement on Telegram.

In his post, Medvedev stressed that any actions aimed at creating a “no-fly zone” over Ukraine with NATO’s involvement would be regarded as an act of aggression against Russia.

The politician described such an idea as “provocative,” emphasizing that its implementation would inevitably mean the beginning of a war between NATO and the Russian Federation.
