The court remanded Nasirov in custody for another two months and reduced his bail

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the detention of former Chairman of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov, who is accused of receiving a bribe of more than UAH 722 million. This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

The panel of judges partially satisfied the defense's request and applied a preventive measure to the accused in the form of detention until May 26, 2024.

Reducing bail

The court also once again reduced the amount of bail for the accused as an alternative preventive measure – from UAH 70 million to UAH 65 million. The priority amount of the pledge was UAH 523.2 million.

The actions of the former head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine are qualified under Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, his adviser – under Part 5 of Art. 27, part 4 art. 368 Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As part of the pre-trial investigation, it was established that during 2015-2016, the head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine received in his favor and in favor of third parties over UAH 722 million in unlawful benefits for performing actions related to ensuring VAT refunds to legal entities controlled by the owner of the agricultural holding in the amount of over UAH 2 billion.
