April warmth: a new temperature record was recorded in Kyiv

The Central Geophysical Observatory named after Boris Sreznevsky reported that in Kyiv on Tuesday, February 13, meteorologists recorded a new temperature record. In particular, the average daily air temperature corresponded to the weather on April 2.

«On Tuesday, February 13, the average daily air temperature in the capital was the highest during the observation period for this day and amounted to 6.5°C», — noted at the observatory.

It is noted that such indicators exceed the previous record of 1995 by 0.3°C, and the climate norm — at 9.4°C. In addition, this temperature corresponds to spring indicators.

«According to long-term indicators, this air temperature corresponds to April 2», — meteorologists emphasized.

Recall that it was previously reported that winter is returning to Ukraine: where and when it is expected to reach -14 degrees.
