Zelensky: In January they can strengthen air defense and work with partners on drones

Work also continues on new sanctions against the Russian Federation.

In January they may strengthen Ukrainian air defense and cooperation on drones.

President Vladimir Zelensky announced this in an evening video message on January 8.

“Today I held a meeting about our further international work – this month will be busy in terms of our foreign policy. There will be many steps, and I am sure that we will be able to strengthen our state. Our air defense. Our work with partners on drones. And also regarding sanctions against Russia – as have already been applied… It is vitally important to eliminate any possible schemes for circumventing sanctions,” the head of state said.

Zelensky added that work continues on new sanctions against the aggressor country. They are also working, to bring closer “real solutions for use in the interests of Ukraine and subsequently the confiscation of Russian assets to restore justice.”
