He writes about the fact that the Defense Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate of our country are taking full advantage of the possibility of an asymmetric response to the offensive of the Russian occupation forces, regularly attacking important objects on the territory of a terrorist state with weapons of their own design, and not at all Western models. “MFN”, referring to Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
In particular, ISW analysts made the above conclusion based on a statement by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, who recently announced the continuation of drone strikes against targets in the Russian Federation. In particular, the Institute for the Study of War believes that such promises from military intelligence are part of a large-scale campaign by Ukraine aimed at depleting the industries that support the military efforts and combat potential of Putin’s army from the rear.
In addition, ISW separately added that Ukrainian attacks aimed at military infrastructure facilities in the Russian Federation not only threaten the pace of oil refining and exports, but also significantly increase the degree of pressure on the “Russian air defense umbrella”, at the same time demonstrating the Ukrainian Armed Forces are able to achieve certain asymmetric consequences with the help of strikes by a limited number of UAVs, mainly domestically produced.
