The mayor of Kharkov, Igor Terekhov, showed a photo of the consequences of the night strike by Russian troops on Kharkov on December 31.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the mayor of Kharkov Igor Terekhov.

“As a result of a night attack by Russian drones on Kharkov, buildings in the city center were damaged. These are not military facilities, but cafes, residential buildings and offices,” the mayor said.

The mayor also added that the Russians want to intimidate Kharkiv residents on the eve of the New Year and thanked the rescuers.

“On New Year’s Eve, the Russians want to intimidate our city, but we will not be afraid – we are invincible and indestructible! Thanks to everyone who is helping to overcome the consequences of the insidious attacks of the invaders,” the mayor said.

Russian attack on Kharkov

On the night of December 31, the Russians attacked Kharkov with drones. Residents of the city heard at least five explosions. The mayor of the city of Terekhov reported destroyed buildings in the city center and damaged communications.

A day earlier, on December 30, the Russians shelled the center of Kharkov. The hotel and residential building were damaged. Among the victims are a foreign journalist and two children.

Later it became known that 26 people were injured due to the Russian missile attack.

Investigators have established that Russian troops hit Kharkov with Iskander-M missiles.

By the way, photographs have appeared of the Kharkiv Palace hotel, which was hit by a missile from Russian troops.
