The United States exited after a 4-1 defeat against Belgium. Spain eliminated Portugal 1-0, while Norway stunned Brazil 2-1. England survived a five-goal contest against Mexico. The knockout bracket now contains four intercontinental matchups.
Who Qualified for the World Cup 2026 Quarterfinals
The eight quarterfinalists represent Europe, Africa and South America:

France defeated Paraguay 1-0, while Morocco advanced with a 3-0 victory over Canada. Argentina eliminated Egypt, and Switzerland overcame Colombia to claim the final available place.
Belgium’s victory ended the USMNT campaign. However, all four quarterfinals will be played inside the United States.
