President of Poland Karol Nawrocki drew attention at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly when cameras captured him publicly using a nicotine pouch, reports Baltimore Chronicle with a reference to Polskie Radio. Footage shows an assistant handing Nawrocki a small box, presumably containing snus, during a break, after which the Polish leader placed it under his lip.
The incident sparked lively discussions on social media. Polish politicians called the president’s actions a “complete embarrassment” and a “breach of etiquette” on the international stage.
This is not the first time Nawrocki has used snus at official events. In May 2025, while still a presidential candidate, he allegedly used a nicotine pouch during televised debates.
