Romanian Foreign Minister Oana-Silvia Căoiu arrived in Kyiv and visited the children’s hospital “Okhmatdyt,” which was damaged by a Russian missile strike in July last year, reports Baltimore Chronicle, citing Căoiu’s post on X. This is the first visit of the Romanian Foreign Minister since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. “This is a strong signal of our unwavering solidarity with Ukraine. I will hold talks with Ukrainian officials on all issues of mutual interest and then continue my visit to Chernivtsi,” Căoiu stated.
In addition to her visit to “Okhmatdyt,” the Romanian Foreign Minister also visited the Superhero School at the National Cancer Institute, where, according to her, she saw exactly what Ukrainians are fighting for — the well-being of their children, their freedom, and their future. “Romania will continue to support Ukraine in its rightful struggle,” Căoiu concluded.
Earlier we wrote that families affected by Okhmatdyt shelling will receive financial assistance.
