Starbucks Joyful Capsule 2026 turns familiar drinks and pastries into collectible plush charms. The surprise capsules launch in Tokyo on August 2, according to the Baltimore Chronicle.

How Much Does Starbucks Joyful Capsule 2026 Cost?

Each Starbucks Joyful Capsule costs ¥880, including tax. Sales begin on August 2, 2026, which marks Starbucks’ 30th anniversary in Japan.

The collection will initially be available at 19 selected Starbucks stores across Tokyo. Participating locations include stores in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku, Ikebukuro and Ginza.

Starbucks will limit purchases to 2 capsules per transaction during the initial sales period. Stock shortages may occur, while telephone inventory checks will not be accepted.

Which Plush Keychains Can Be Found Inside?

Customers receive 1 random design and cannot select or exchange the charm. The main Starbucks Joyful Capsule 2026 collection contains 5 characters:

  • Double Tall Latte, served in a takeaway cup;
  • Matcha Cream Frappuccino;
  • Caramel Macchiato, served in a café cup;
  • Tokyo Roast coffee bag;
  • Sugar Doughnut.

The charms measure approximately 50 to 80 millimetres, depending on the design. Each model recreates recognisable details, including whipped cream, caramel sauce and Starbucks drinkware.

Starbucks Reserve Gets a Separate Capsule Collection

Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo will release its own Joyful Capsule series on the same date. These capsules cost ¥1,100 and contain 1 of 4 exclusive designs.

The Reserve collection includes Caffè Americano, Caffè Latte, Tokyo Roastery Microblend and Cornetti Crema. It will only be sold at Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo.

The random blind-box format makes completing either collection difficult. Buyers may receive duplicate charms, creating an incentive to trade with other collectors.
