The British version is operated through the National Lottery by Allwyn UK. Tickets cost £4 per line, while the American price remains $2. Players can buy Powerball tickets online through the official National Lottery website or purchase them from authorised National Lottery retailers. Online players must be at least 18 and physically located in the UK or Isle of Man.
How to buy Powerball UK tickets
Players select 5 main numbers from 1 to 69 and 1 red Powerball number from 1 to 26. They can also request a Lucky Dip, which generates the numbers automatically.

- authorised National Lottery shops across the UK.
UK entries participate in the shared American jackpot. However, Britain has its own lower-tier prize structure and ticket price.
When is the first Powerball UK draw?
The first eligible American drawing takes place on Wednesday, July 22. Because of the time difference, British players will see the result early on Thursday, July 23.

How Powerball prizes work in the UK
British tickets contribute to the shared jackpot but use different fixed prizes below the top tier. Matching 5 main numbers can produce a £1 million prize, while matching 2 main numbers pays £8 under the announced UK structure.
A UK jackpot winner will receive the prize through 30 annual payments. American winners can usually choose between an annuity and a reduced cash payment. Currency conversion also means the advertised British and American jackpot totals may differ.
The jackpot remains exceptionally difficult to win. The probability of matching all 6 numbers is 1 in 292.2 million, regardless of where the ticket was purchased.
