On Thursday, April 11, in the Kyiv region, the Trypillya Thermal Power Plant was destroyed as a result of a missile attack by Russian invaders.

This information was reported by «Ukrenergo», URA-Inform reports.

In «Ukrenergo» They hope that they will not have to introduce restrictions on electricity consumption. According to the press service of the department, at the evening maximum, which falls on the period from 19:00 to 22:00, a slight shortage of electricity is possible.

«The loss of the Trypillya Thermal Power Plant, like any large generation facility, will not have a positive effect on the country’s energy balance. This means that during peak hours of the day we will have less internal capacity to cover consumption. For now, let's try to get through the evening without them», — emphasized in «Ukrenergo».

The company assures that if restrictions on electricity consumption are necessary, users will be warned in advance.

«The sun will set, there is not enough internal capacity, there is no import in the required volumes. On the Ukrainian market prices are lower than on the European market. Accordingly, we will have to take emergency assistance if the neighbors can provide it to us», — added to «Ukrenergo».

We recall that it was previously reported that the Ukrainian air defense has very serious problems: an insider found out what will happen in May.
