Unknown persons broke the account of the social network X, LIGA.net announced that the site was broken

Unknown people had previously spread fake news about the alleged “defeat” of the elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka by Russian occupiers.

On the evening of February 18, unknown persons broke the account of the publication “Ukrainian Pravda” on the social network X.

As reported in the UP telegram channel, the editors lost access to the account. Instead, fakes began to appear there. For example, information about the alleged “defeat” of elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdeevka by Russian invaders.

“We are trying to restore access. We ask you not to consider information published on the social network related to the UP,” the publication urged.< /p >

Subsequently, the UP reported that control over the page was returned. The fake messages were deleted.

The publication LIGA.net stated that attackers hacked their site and spread similar fake news.

“On February 18 at 14:30 a fake news appeared on the LIGA.net website about the alleged “defeat” of the elite units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdeevka by Russian occupiers. The editors of LIGA.net are not involved in the publication of Russian disinformation, the site was broken by unknown persons,” the media report said in a telegram. that the fake news was quickly removed from the news feed, but it was still active for some time, and was also automatically distributed in the LIGA.net account on the social network X.
