The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, predicted that Ukraine will integrate into the European Union before 2030, unless, of course, pro-Russian politicians interfere with the process.

As NBN reports with reference to a video from the YouTube channel RadioKossuth, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban made a predictable statement: not only the current circumstances (the Russian invasion) will prevent Ukraine from joining the EU.
Based on Orban's words, the above-described European integration will allegedly negatively affect, or rather even exhaust/undermine, the Hungarian economy [in particular, the agricultural sector], and therefore he does not intend to support Ukraine's accession at the EU thematic summit scheduled for next week.
In addition, the pro-Russian politician noted that there is currently “not a single argument” justifying the expansion of the EU into the territory of Ukraine, naturally, from the point of view of Budapest’s interests.
At the same time, Orban admitted that he could adjust his position in the future, since it is unknown what “history will bring,” however, “here and now it [Ukraine’s membership in the EU] is unthinkable.”
