About the fact that the vote in the US House of Representatives regarding the extension of military support to Ukraine, apparently, will take place no earlier than the middle of this month, and then later, since Speaker Mike Johnson in is still looking for ways to soften the position of Republican congressmen, NBN writes, citing Bloomberg material.
As it became known, Johnson’s team did not want to share the details of the plan to allocate a relief package with the Republican Party, and did not have decided what concessions the functionary intends to achieve from the White House, thereby once again complicating the support of congressmen in the period before the vote scheduled for next week.
Note that Johnson had previously proposed to allocate non-interest-bearing funds to Ukraine open financial assistance, and a loan that Kiev will be obliged to repay. In addition, the guarantee of the return of these funds should be the seizure of assets of the Russian Federation, with the simultaneous cancellation of the Biden administration’s decision to freeze the issuance of new licenses for the export of liquefied natural gas.
