Zorya beat Kolos in the postponed UPL match and almost protected themselves from relegation (video)

The Luhansk team interrupted its four-match streak without victories.

Zarya beat Kolos on the road in the rescheduled match of the 15th round of the Ukrainian Premier league(UPL) for the 2023/24 season. The match in Kovalevka ended with the score 0:1.

The Lugansk team scored the winning goal in the middle of the first half. In the 23rd minute, Eduardo Guerrero scored after a pass from Denis Antyukh.

For the Panamanian forward, this is the ninth goal in the current UPL. The leader of the scoring race remains Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladislav Vanat, who has scored 13 goals.

Review of the match “Kolos” – “Zarya”

Thanks to this victory, Zorya (31 points) broke their four-match winless streak and rose to eighth place in the UPL standings. With three rounds left, the gap between Yuri Koval’s team and the playoff zone for maintaining their residence in the elite division increased to six points. “Kolos” (29 points) dropped to tenth position.

In their next matches of the Ukrainian championship, “Zorya” will play with “Veres” on May 13, and “Kolos” will host LNZ on the same day.
