The U.S. Department of State has revoked the visas of at least six foreign nationals over their comments about the late political blogger Charlie Kirk, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to X. Department of State. The agency emphasized that “the United States is under no obligation to admit foreigners who wish death upon Americans.” Along with the announcement, the Department released screenshots of hostile remarks made about Kirk by six individuals, noting that these were “only a few examples of foreigners who are no longer welcome in the United States.”
According to the State Department, the individuals whose visas were canceled include citizens of Argentina, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Germany, and Paraguay. The Argentine national commented that Kirk had “dedicated his entire life to spreading racist, xenophobic, and misogynistic rhetoric,” while a South African citizen wrote that “Kirk will not be remembered as a hero” and claimed that he “was used to create an artificial movement of ignorant white nationalists.”
Officials added that they continue to identify visa holders who “celebrated the horrific killing of Charlie Kirk” and stated that further actions will be taken against those individuals.
