Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is scheduled to appear in court in person for the first time on Thursday, reports Baltimore Chronicle, with reference to ABC news.

Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot and killed during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10. Kirk was the founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA, and the Utah Valley appearance was the first stop of his “The American Comeback Tour,” which aimed to engage college students in debates on current political and social issues. While organizers anticipated around 600 attendees, over 3,000 people showed up for the event.

Following the shooting, Robinson allegedly fled the scene, triggering a widespread manhunt. He later surrendered to authorities on the evening of September 11. Robinson has been formally charged with aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice, two counts of witness tampering, and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.

Robinson previously appeared in court twice: once via virtual hearing and once through audio-only proceedings. He has not yet entered a plea, and if convicted of aggravated murder, he could face the death penalty.
