Sabrina Carpenter restraining order request has become public after the singer said she feared for her safety. The 27-year-old artist filed a civil harassment petition against William Applegate, 31, in Los Angeles. She claims he came to her home on May 23 without permission and tried to get inside. The case now focuses on alleged trespassing, repeated visits and security concerns, as noted by Baltimore Chronicle.

What Carpenter said in court documents

Carpenter stated that Applegate allegedly entered a neighbor’s property to get closer to her residence. She said he reached her front door, grabbed the handle and tried to force it open. Her security team intervened and removed him from the area. Police later arrived, and Applegate was arrested for criminal trespass.

The singer described the incident as one of the most disturbing violations of her privacy. She also said she remains afraid because of the alleged pattern of behavior.

Why the case did not end after the arrest

According to declarations from Carpenter’s security guards, Applegate allegedly returned near her home on May 24 and May 25. One guard said he saw a vehicle near the gate and later identified Applegate nearby. Another guard reported that Applegate parked close to the pedestrian entrance and stayed there for hours.

Key details from the petition include:

  • alleged attempt to enter Carpenter’s home on May 23;
  • arrest for criminal trespass after police arrived;
  • alleged return near the residence on May 24 and May 25;
  • protection request for Carpenter and two people living with her.

These claims are now part of the civil restraining order request. The District Attorney’s office said no criminal charges have been filed against Applegate.

Who else is protected by the order

The restraining order also covers Carpenter’s sister, Sarah Carpenter, and George Smith, who live at the property. Carpenter said the alleged conduct caused ongoing fear for everyone inside the home. She described the behavior as stalking, surveillance and trespassing.

The case highlights the security pressure faced by public figures. For Carpenter, the main issue is no longer only one alleged visit. It is the repeated nature of the behavior described in court filings.
