European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the first tranche amounting to 4.5 billion euros will arrive in March. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced this on his telegram channel.

According to him, the meeting with von der Leyen turned out to be productive.
“We talked about our cooperation in the field defense industry and coordinated the next steps within the framework of the Ukraine Facility initiative, which provides funding in the amount of 50 billion euros over 4 years. Ursula said that the first tranche in the amount of 4.5 billion euros will arrive in March,” he emphasized.
The parties also raised the issue of the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border. Shmygal presented the Ukrainian “Plan of Mutual Understanding” to resolve this crisis.
“We count on a constructive trilateral dialogue,” the head of government noted.
