Initially, these funds will be used to purchase military bonds. Later, they will be sent to the Fund for the Elimination of Consequences of Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation.

“Thanks to the changes in the procedure for managing assets subject to sanctions and seized in criminal proceedings, approved today by the government, ARMA can now promptly transfer the funds received to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression,” explained the head of ARMA, Elena Duma.

Last year, ARMA already wrote off funds from the accounts of offshore Cypriot companies associated with Fridman and Aven. At that time, it was about 18 million US dollars that remained in accounts at Sens Bank. These funds were frozen by a court decision in April 2022.

In total, ARMA manages monetary assets seized in criminal proceedings and subject to sanctions for a total of UAH 5.5 billion (in hryvnia equivalent).
