According to the speaker of the joint press center of the Tauride Defense Forces, Alexander Shtupun, the above may be due to the sharp cold snap. During the telethon, Shtupun emphasized that despite the decrease in the intensity of attacks, Russian troops continue to strive to encircle Avdievka and remain active in this direction.
The expert said that the number of artillery attacks over the past 24 hours has decreased from more than 1000 to 617 .
He noted that such dynamics can be explained by weather conditions, due to which drones cannot fully perform their functions, as well as due to significant cold weather. In addition, the number of assaults has decreased from 50-60 per day to only 25.
Despite the decrease in artillery attacks, Shtupun noted that Russian aviation continues to carry out strikes using aerial bombs. Over the past 24 hours, 31 cases of the use of aerial bombs by Russia have been recorded.
