Protests at the Korchewa-Krakovets checkpoint are being resumed in Poland, unlocked on March 10th.

As stated in the message of the State Customs Service, the blocking began, according to the Polish side, on March 13 at 10:00 Warsaw time.

The customs added that, in particular, speech is about :  

  • blocking by representatives of Polish farmers and carriers of the road along which trucks move to leave the Republic of Poland and enter Ukraine, at a distance of up to 1 km from the checkpoint;
  • ⁠blocking by representatives of Polish farmers of the A4 highway at a distance of up to 500 m to the checkpoint (blocking at the specified location has not yet been carried out).

“The movement of passenger transport (passenger cars, buses) in both directions will be carried out unhindered,” customs officials noted.

  • On March 11, a meeting of the Ukrainian-Polish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was held in Lviv, where Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction – Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov reported that Polish protesters and police were stopping buses from Ukraine going to Poland and back. . Passengers are detained without explanation.
  • Ukrainian consul Sergei Tsaruk visited the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint. According to the consulate, the Polish side denied the blockade.
  • Since February 9, 2024, protests by farmers on the roads leading to checkpoints have continued in Poland near the border with Ukraine. The main demands of the protesters are a ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products and Poland’s refusal from the European Green Deal. At the same time, some Ukrainian agricultural goods go to Poland in transit. During this time, there were five cases of Ukrainian agricultural crops spilling out of freight cars on the tracks or from trucks on the roads.
