<p> < p>Gan believes that this will save budgetary funds and “minimize the fragmentation of the various weapons systems existing in Europe.”</p>
<p>“If only 40% of annual defense investment purchases were made jointly, then more than 24 billion euros per year,” said the European Commissioner.</p>
<p>Gan is also convinced that the EU cannot stand aside from Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, since this would be a “fatal thing” that it could do.</p>

<li>The gap between the capabilities of Ukrainian companies to produce weapons and the funding aimed at their use in 2024 is $10 billion. The Ukrainian military-industrial complex is capable of producing products worth $20 billion per year. Of these, 6 billion are contracted, the department wants to cover 4 billion inside Ukraine, so <b>$10 billion is funding that partners can provide.</b></li>
<li>EU High Representative Josep Borrell at the Defense Industry Forum EU-Ukraine in Brussels said that EU countries could purchase weapons for Ukraine from Ukrainian defense companies and quickly transfer them for military support to Kyiv.</li>
