This is the second best result of Ukrainians in the men's individual races of the 2023 World Cup season /24.
On Friday, March 15, the men's sprint race took place at the last stage of the Biathlon World Cup 2023/24 in Canmore, Canada.
Ukraine was represented by five biathletes: Artem Prima, Dmitry Pidruchny, Anton Dudchenko, Vitaliy Mandzyn and Taras Lesyuk.
The best result among Ukrainians in the sprint was shown by Pidruchny, who finished in the top 10 with clean shooting.
Note that this is the second best result of the Ukrainian men's team in individual races at the World Cup this season. Only Prima performed better in the short individual race at the stage in Antholz, where he took ninth place.
In addition to Pidruchny, Prima also qualified for the pursuit race in Kenmore in 50th position. Mandzyn, Dudchenko and Lesyuk finished outside the top 60 and will not compete in the pursuit.
The winner of the sprint was the Norwegian Johannes Bjo. Italian Tommaso Giacomel took second place, and the top three was completed by Tarjei Bjo from Norway.
