Obolon drew with Minai in a tense UPL match with two deletions (video)

Obolonplayed a draw withMinayat home match of the 24th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at the Obolon Arena in Kyiv ended with the score 1:1.

The hosts were left in the minority at the very beginning of the meeting – in the 12th minute goalkeeper Alexander Rybka received a straight red card.

In the second half, the Transcarpathian club was able to take the lead. The referee awarded a penalty for a foul by Alexander Osman against Sergei Petko in his own penalty area during a serve from the right flank.

Denis Ustimenkofrom the 11-meter mark, at first he failed to beat Nazariy Fedorovsky, but the Brewers’ goalkeeper went beyond the goal line before the kick, so the penalty had to be saved. On the second attempt, Ustimenko sent the ball into the right corner in the 58th minute.

Despite playing with ten men, Obolon equalized the score four minutes later – Vladislav Priymak scored .

In the 67th minute, the teams' line-ups leveled off – Minai defender Sergei Korniychuk received a second yellow card and was sent off. After this, no more goals were scored in the match.

Obolon (19 points) takes 14th place in the UPL. “Minaj” closes the standings with 15 points.

In the next match of the Ukrainian championship, the “brewers” ​​will play against “Alexandria” on April 17. On the same day, Minai will fight with Dynamo.
