At least four individuals were killed and ten others injured during a shooting at a banquet hall in Stockton, California on Saturday evening, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to ABC. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. in the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue.
Heather Brent, public information officer for the sheriff’s office, told reporters that the gunfire erupted while people were attending a family gathering at the banquet hall, describing the attack as “unfathomable.” Victims ranged from juveniles to adults, and several injured individuals were hospitalized. Initial indications suggest the shooting may have been targeted, though authorities have not yet identified a suspect or made any arrests. “Our No. 1 priority right now is identifying the suspect in this incident,” Brent stated.
