Starting from October 1, 2025, the “Mriya” mobile application will begin beta testing its internal currency for some Ukrainian schoolchildren, reports Baltimore Chronicle with reference to a post by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, on TikTok.
Mykhailo Fedorov explained that the new system will allow students to “earn” internal currency by completing tasks across various school subjects. For correct answers, they will receive points, which will be converted into virtual “mriyky” (dream coins). The tasks will be generated by artificial intelligence, and the points will be awarded based on the quality of the response. For example, if a student improves their English score from 9 to 10, they will earn additional mriyky.
“We want children to be more interested in learning and to use the opportunities provided by digital education. Furthermore, the earned mriyky can be exchanged for various products and services, such as in cinemas or stores,” the minister added.
The beta test will begin on October 1 with 10,000-15,000 students participating, and by January 2026, or in the first quarter, the system will be available to all schools that join the “Mriya” platform. Currently, around 2,000 schools are connected to the system.
The minister also emphasized that the primary goal of the project is not just entertainment but to boost students’ engagement in the educational process. “This is just one element we are developing to improve education,” Fedorov concluded.
